There has been a death in the family.

No eulogy, no coffin,
No funeral, no black.

And yet, there has been a death in the family.

No undertaker, no hearse,
No cemetery, no grave.

And yet, there has most assuredly been a death in the family.

No belly, no fullness,
No lifeline, no baby.
There has been a death in the family.


found this and it sooo speaks to me about my 4 losses. with wyatt he lived for 13 days so there was a funeral and a death was mourned. with my 4 other losses, 2 (mary and ethan) "could" have been buried but we didn't "have" to . so being young and stupid and overwhelmed we chose not to bury them (oh, how i regret that now) and i guess because of that we chose to move on like nothing really happened. with our other 2 dreams (kendall and chandler) we didn't have the option to bury them, so i got to cry for a day and move on again.

all this to say these were all family members. they were all family members.they were my babies. AND THERE HAS BEEN A DEATH IN OUR FAMILY!!!
